Our new Jersey Foam Landing Pits offer a soft and supportive landing area designed for landing on your front, back or hands and knees. The internal foam is made up of carefully selected layers of foam to provide a cushioned landing surface with the soft Jersey material removing the slap/sting a traditional PVC mat can produce.

Our Jersey Landing Pits are not designed to be used for landing directly on your feet and should be used with a Supplementary Mat whenever doing so, this will improve the lifetime of the Jersey Cover and the internal foam.

Complete with multiple carrying handles and decompression mesh these make for versatile landing pits and training aids at multiple stations of the gymnasium.

SIzes:

  • Small – 300cm x 150cm x 65cm - £1395.00
  • Large – 350cm x 200cm x 65cm - £1895.00

"Use our pits on the floor, at the end of the tumble track or Fast Track to land on back from one and a half backward somersault, this is a prep for double back on floor. This will teach the gymnast to set for the somersault in the correct way, as they should be able to get enough height from the floor to land on their backs on the pit if correct take off techniques are used.

Use on floor, at the end of the tumble track or Fast Track to land on hands and knees from one and a quarter front somersault, this is a prep for double front on floor and also one and a half front somersault roll out. This will teach the gymnast to set for the somersault in the correct way, as they should be able to get enough height from the floor to land on their hands and knees on the pit if correct take off techniques are used.

Use on floor, at the end of the tumble track or Fast Track to land on hands and knees from one and a quarter Arabian somersault, this is a prep for double Arabian front on floor and also one and a half Arabian front somersault roll out. This will teach the gymnast to set for the somersault in the correct way, as they should be able to get enough height from the floor to land on their hands and knees on the pit if correct take off techniques are used.

Use on floor, at the end of the tumble track or Fast Track to land on back or front from backward or forwards somersaults, this is a prep for twisting on floor. This will teach the gymnast to set for the somersault in the correct way, as they should be able to get enough height from the floor to land on their fronts or backs on the pit if correct take off techniques are used. The twist should only happen once take off has occurred and they can see the mat on the backward somersault and see the ceiling on the front somersault, this will teach the gymnast to not twist early off of the floor.

Used behind vault to land on hands and knees from a hand spring, or on their backs from a Tsukahara or Yurchenko . This is teaching the gymnasts to block hard off of the top of the vault to create enough rotation to land on their knees or back in preparation to complete the full skill, which is to complete a full somersault rotation to land on feet."
